Prohibited Items | No beer kegs, additional gas cans, towing of anything, or briquet BBQs are allowed on the rental boats. Only propane BBQs with grease traps are allowed. |
Trash Disposal | All trash must be picked up and disposed of in the provided trash bag and green dumpsters on the shoreline. |
California Boating Laws
All boaters must follow California Boating Laws, which include:
- Wearing a life jacket when on a moving boat.
- No operation of a boat while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Carrying a fire extinguisher and sound-producing device on the boat.
- Following navigation rules, such as giving the right of way to any boat following the flow of traffic.

There are two boating facilities at Twin Lakes: Twin Lakes and Twin Lakes Resort, both in Bridgeport, Mono. These facilities offer public launch areas and marina/launch/dry storage options.

Twin Lakes Resort offers boat rentals, including fishing boats, patio boats, and kayaks. Rental boats must be operated responsibly and in accordance with all boating regulations and rules set by the rental company.
