Parking Options at Emerald Bay Lake Tahoe
1. Eagle Falls Picnic Area Parking
This free parking area is located near the Eagle Falls trailhead, offering a scenic view of the falls from the road. However, the limited number of spots means you’ll need to arrive early to secure a spot, especially during peak seasons.
2. Emerald Bay State Park Lot
The Emerald Bay State Park Lot is a larger parking area, but it also fills up quickly. The parking fee is $10 per vehicle for the day or $3 for one hour. Payment can be made using cash (exact change) or a credit card. Annual California State Park Day Use Passes are accepted, but federal passes are not.
3. Vikingsholm Parking Lot
The Vikingsholm Parking Lot is located near the Vikingsholm Castle, a popular attraction within Emerald Bay. This lot has a maximum vehicle length of 18 feet, so no motorhomes over 18 feet or trailers are allowed. The parking fees are the same as the Emerald Bay State Park Lot.
