The family had to live in a motor home for a year due to construction delays, and the original build was incomplete when the property was sold in 2016.

In 2016, the property was purchased by Yvonne Malley, who undertook an extensive renovation project with her son Phil and his wife Joyce. The property was transformed into a luxury guesthouse and opened to the public in October 2017.
